Supreme Court refuses to consider petition against K Kavitha's arrest
K Kavitha's arrest: Supreme Court said it cannot allow people to directly approach the top court for bail just because they are politicians
New Delhi: BRS leader K Kavitha, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last week in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, has been refused relief by the Supreme Court and asked to approach the trial court A special bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna Justice MM Sundaresh and Justice Bela Trivedi refused to entertain his plea saying he would have to follow a uniform policy and seek relief from the lower court The court also spoke that it can not have people to directly approach the apex court for guarantee precisely because they're politicians or are suitable to approach the apex
The court directed that once Ms Kavita files her bail plea, the trial court will have to hear it soon.
