UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2024 Postponed: UPSC Civil Services 2024 Prelims Exam Postponed.. New Date Announced The Prelims Exam of the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024 has been postponed.
In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections across the country, the dates of preliminary examination (Prelims) have been changed. To this extent, an announcement was issued on Tuesday (March 20) to reschedule the exam. As per the previous announcement the Commission will conduct the prelims examination on 26th May.
New Delhi, March 20: The preliminary examination of the prestigious Civil Services Examination 2024 conducted by UPSC has been postponed. In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections across the country, the dates of preliminary examination (Prelims) have been changed To this extent an announcement was issued on Tuesday (March 20) to reschedule the exam. It is known that the Commission has announced that the Prelims examination will be conducted on 26th May as per the previous announcement. After changing the date, UPSC postponed the preliminary exam till June 16. Also, along with UPSC Civil Exam Indian Forest Service Exam has also been postponed. The date of this examination has also been extended from 26th May to 16th June.
After the Election Commission announced last Saturday that the 18th Lok Sabha elections will be held from April 19 to June 1, the exam time table has been rescheduled. The Commission has decided to postpone the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024 in view of the upcoming General Election schedule.
The Commission has released an official notification that along with the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, the date of Indian Forest Service Examination 2024 Screening Test has also been postponed from May 26, 2024 to June 16, 2024. Whereas UPSAC IAS and IPS preliminary written examination will be conducted in two shifts. There will be General Studies in the morning shift and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) in the afternoon shift. The GS paper will be conducted in the morning session from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the afternoon session from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. The Prelims Admit Card will be released by the Commission at least 10 days before the examination.
Candidates can download their UPSC Prelims Hall Ticket 2024 from the official website upsc.gov.in. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter the registration number, roll number or date of birth. This year UPSC announced a total of 1056 vacancies for CSE exam and 150 vacancies for Indian Forest Service (IFoS) The selection process takes place in three stages Prelims, Mains, Personality Test. There are objective type questions in the preliminary examination. Candidates who score more than the cutoff marks will qualify for the Main Exam 2024. UPSC Civil Main exam will be conducted for five days from September 20
